Target Fish:
Redfish: 20” – 28”
Spotted Seatrout: 15” – 20” or 1 over 30”
Black Drum: 14” – 30”
Flounder: 15” no limit
Hardhead: no limit
Sign-Up: Friday 13th starts at 5pm. 7pm Captains Meeting, followed by Calcutta
Start Time: Fishing starts Saturday 14th at 6.30 am.
Weigh-In: Starts at 1 pm. Must be in line with fish for weigh-in by 3pm. NO EXCEPTIONS
Fishing Rules:
A “spot pot” redfish doesn’t have to be included in the stringer.
Guided Team: If anyone on the boat has held a US Coast Guard Captain’s License
Amateur Team: If no one on the boat has held a US Coast Guard Captain’s License
Guided & Amateur Divisions:
Trophies
1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies awarded for each target fish and heaviest stringer Heaviest Stringer is a combined weight of 3 different target species. Individual target fish winner determined by heaviest. In the case of a tie, length will determine winner.
Hard Luck trophy awarded to best story told after weigh-in.
Best Dressed Team trophies judged by anonymous judges. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies
Optional $100 Redfish Spot Pot:
Is the most amount of spots on a legal size Redfish 20” – 28”. If spots are joined together, they count as one spot. Team entered in the Redfish spot pot with the most amount of spots, wins.
Guided Division:
Calcutta: Bidding on Guided Teams start after Captain’s Meeting on Friday
1st, 2nd and 3rd place winnings goes to heaviest stringer.
90% of Calcutta Money Returned to winners.
50% to Team, 50% to Purchaser.
1st Place 51%, 2nd Place 28%, 3rd Place 21%
Amateur Division: Optional $100 Cash Pots:
$100 entry per team per pot for Heaviest Stringer, Redfish,
Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, Flounder & Hardhead
Team entered in the pot with the heaviest species wins.
If fish species not caught, all pot money for that species will be returned.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE ALL TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE FISHING REGULATIONS WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATIONS
